You Will Love Reading Vietnam War Helicopter Books

By Toni Vang

It is more common for men to read novels relating to war then woman as it turns stupidity, greed and depravity into brave, selflessness and loyalty. They cover the causes as well as the effects and not to forget the heroes which are in turn the victims. Vietnam War helicopter books are also a part of this scenario adding a certain thrill to the overall outline.

Low Level Hell is a paperback written by Hugh Mills and captures the lives of a few aviators who came face to face with death on every mission they undertook. It is also available in Hardcover as well as kindle. The reviews are all very good giving this one a five star. Many say that this one is up there with the Chickenhawk book by Robert Mason.

When asking those that love to read when the best time is, many will say that just before one turns out the light at night. It is an excellent way to begin to relax and will help to calm the mind as well as clear it of all the hassles that have taken place during the day. Reading with a dim light not only relaxes the body but also gives signals to the brain that it is nearly sleep time.

The book Chickenhawk was written by Robert Mason about his experiences as a helicopter pilot of the UH-1 Iroquois. This helicopter was made and developed by Bell Helicopter especially for the United States Army in order to evacuate those injured as well as to move utilities. Its first flight was on October the twentieth nineteen fifty-six and there are now over sixteen thousand worldwide.

A movie was made from this and was directed by Randall Wallace. Mel Gibson starred in it as Moore. It is a historical true-life book and was published in October nineteen ninety two. The Vietnamese government did not agree to this movie and the Vietnamese commander portrayed in this movie was condemned as a traitor. He and his family were later allowed to move to the United States of America in 2003.

Many self-help books can actually help one to see themselves from someone else's eyes. These books help to give support where needed and also manage to help that person to rise above their depression and become aware that life is still good. Many with severe depression have benefited from these low intensity interventions.

Rattler one-seven by Chuck Gross is all about a helicopter pilot's story and firmly puts the reader in the seat up front. The whole book is about an inexperienced pilot that soon becomes a seasoned fighting veteran. Many reviews state that he is able to get across that feeling of actually flying a Huey in combat and that only the smell of gunpowder is missing.

He was an actual pilot in the War and had more than twelve hundred hours of combat flying under his belt. He achieved a Senior Aircraft Commander status and later became a commercial pilot of 767/757s. He then retired as a Captain and has published videos on self defense.

Catholicism And Fundamentalism, The Book And The Author

By Stella Gay

The attacks on Catholic faith and her doctrines over the years have inspired Keating Karl to make an attempt at explaining the major points of contention. Catholicism and Fundamentalism is a book targeted at Catholics, Protestants and non-Christians who wish to understand the Catholic faith better. It takes a historical, theological and doctrinal perspective.

The approach adopted by this author has seen many weak Catholic faithful affirm their belief. It also has caused Protestants to convert into staunch Catholics because they understand the faith better. It is considered and easy-to-read book with revelations that were previously hidden from the non-Catholics. The author is also the founder of Catholic Answers, an organization dedicated to providing answers about Catholic faith and doctrines.

Some burning issues handled by the writer include where Protestants get their information from. This is aimed at revealing the genesis of their misconceptions about Catholicism. The argument is that if the sources of information are flawed, it automatically means that decisions and conclusions made from such information must be wrong.

Karl is bothered about the existence of an elaborate anti-Catholicism movement in USA and delves deeper to understand it. The chapters provide a history and foundations of the movement as well as their events. There is an outline of how such organizations and personalities have colluded to spread falsehood and thus divide Christians more and more.

The author has delved into the process of engaging in arguments to assist Catholics and parties interested in debate to argue without loosing their cool. The writer insists that the best approach is to give facts for education or enlightenment purposes instead of conversion. The person is likely to convert or understand Roman Catholic doctrines easier through facts as opposed to skewed arguments.

The Anti-Catholic movement and its spread in USA have been given prominence by Keating. These underground movements have been funding smear campaigns and propaganda against the Catholic Church. Keating reveals their missions, history and activities as well as personalities behind them. There are business men, politicians and ideological figures responsible. Their events and physical address eliminate any doubt about their existence.

Papal infallibility remains a doctrinal principle and subject of attack by non-Catholics. The principle implies that since Papacy was handed down by Jesus to Peter and to the eventual holders of the office, the Pope gained immunity to error. This gives him authority to direct doctrinal and moral issues to the global community of Catholics without question.

Other issues addressed by Keating in this book include the meaning of a bible Christian. There is a chapter on the changes that have occurred in the Catholic Church over the years and their implications. Karl further explains the misconception that Catholics are not real Christians. The issue of the Inquisition is comprehensively addressed as well.

For Catholics and other Christian skeptics, the author explains the scenario that led to there being two popes at one point. Answers on whether Catholics are saved or not are included in the book. It also provides answers on whether the bible was inspired or not. This is considered A-Must-Have for Catholics and those who seek to understand the faith.
