It Is Important To Build Schools In Kenya

By Shirley Parker

Education is the key to success. The roots of education are bitter but its fruits are sweet. Good education can lift a person out of poverty. In the modern world, people who go very far in life are those who are highly educated. It is not enough to have a high school certificate. One should strive to be as educated as possible. Actually, learning does not end in class. It is a continuous affair. Most people in Kenya are poor because they did not have access to high quality education. That is the reason why it is important to build schools in Kenya.

A school should be considered as important as a hospital. People should respect teachers just like they usually respect doctors. A teacher is an important and indispensable member of society. The developing world needs to have many more highly experienced and competent teachers. The typical Kenyan teacher has improved many lives. His hands have molded many high flying members of society.

The main business that takes place in a hospital is saving the lives of people. Inside a medical facility, there will be the improvement of the wellbeing of patients. A hospital and a school have many similarities. A school exists for the purpose of improving the well being of learners. Education saves young people from the malady of ignorance.

The developing world is facing many challenges. In some parts of Africa and Asia, people even do not have access to clean water. Among the problems facing a country like Kenya is the challenge of having few educational facilities. That means that one school handles more than its fair share of students subsequently leading to poor learning conditions for students.

Building a school is a noble thing to do. It is actually giving a child in a developing country a chance to get much needed education. In the Western world, people have easy access to education. In some countries, there is even free education from primary to university level. However, that is totally not the case with many third world countries.

One can contribute to the initiative of building schools in Kenya in his own unique way. Just passing the message around is a contribution in itself because there is the need to sensitize the world about the lack of learning facilities in some African countries. Making a monetary contribution of any amount will be a very good thing to do.

One should not contribute money to the first organization that he comes across. Of course, there are many frauds in the industry. One needs to find a charity organization that is highly reputable. Reputation is the one thing to consider before contributing to charity. One should find an organization that dedicates most of the income to charity rather than to administrative costs.

A child deserves to get the best education possible if there is the need to create a great society. An educated person will be a real asset to his country while an ignorant individual will be a liability. Education makes someone to be a better individual. On the other hand, ignorance creates a lot of problems in society. Actually, ignorance is one of the worst diseases.
