Foram was not that famous to anyone, only those who study knows about this. This is something which only a few of our population knows about, how complex it is and why it exists. Here is some information about Foraminifera and also how it came into being.

Forams are referred to have a singular cell that has a shell or what they commonly refer to as the test. Five hundred years ago they were considered one of the most abundant kinds of fossils. The shell inside them is divided into four main chambers that will start to develop during their growing period. The king of parts they will have to vary on what type of species they are.

Once they are fully grown their estimated size range could be about 100 micrometers to 20 centimeters long. They have an interdependent relationship with algae, which they would farm inside the shells. They fed on other smaller organism that can be found on aquatic places.

There were an estimated 4,000 foram species found all over the world in oceans. Forty of these species can float above the waters. The others survive in the deepest place of the oceans, such as sand, mud, rocks, and seaweed. Although they are able to live in many other marine environments, they still can also be in the tropical poles, they still live in a very special place. Some are abundant only in the innermost part of the ocean, whereas others live in corals.

Forams are one of the most bountiful shelled organism in all aquatic places. A measure of 1 cubic centimeter of sediment can hold hundreds of living species, and other dead of such kind. Many parts of ocean floors are made up of dead forams from the planktonic types.

The Forams is known to be an important part of sediments. Like what the pink beaches of Bermuda is made up. The pinkish color of come beaches is because of the red colored shell from the forams that has reached the sands.

Forams can be classified according to their characters and the shell that they have. What the walls are comprised, the shape of its chamber as well as the way it is arranged, shapes and the position of other apertures, and other features of the forams. Current researches ha been helping in adding more way on how they can be classified.

Since they have been easy for one to collect, they have been the main prospect as a way for researchers to find out another relative of such same kind that might have live thousands of years ago. Up until now, they have been used by some scientist to prove that there was evolution. They are used to take the research furthermore.

This species provided help in some people who live in the present, some of their usages remained unknown to any of us and are yet to be discovered. Other reasons why their kinds were produced are still known. Experts still find other ways to explain why it is important and whether it can still be useful for the next present generation.
