Oil spills are also blamed on faulty oil drilling machinery. But all these hazards are also almost equal to the disadvantages of sustainable energy.
The sun is giving us four billion years of sustainability when we use its sunlight in order to plug and play our conveniences. But solar panels are made of photovoltaic ingredients that need coal in order to be created. Furthermore, making these panels result in the emission of even more dangerous gases, namely nitrogen triflouride, sulfur hexaflouride, and hexaflourethane.
You cannot also say that the geothermal energy is the lesser evil when compared to fossil fuels. It relies on water, and again, water is in short supply. It has also destroyed wildlife habitat and rainforests.
Perhaps you are thinking how the Danes pulled off the alleged goodness of windpower. It is true that their CO2 emissions are flat. It is also because their population growth is close to zero. By the way, turbines are created from rare earth metals that are extracted through hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and sodium hydroxide, which contaminate water.
